Help reduce food waste and support local families by assisting with monthly food pickups from Aldi in Pittsburg. Volunteers will gather donated bread, milk, cheese, eggs, and other items, transport them to the pantry, and help unload donations.
Volunteers will meet with pantry staff at the church before going to Aldi to pick up donations.
Volunteer Duties:
- Assist with loading donated food items at Aldi
- Transport donations to Sacred Heart Food Pantry
- Help unload and organize food at the pantry
Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Wear closed-toe shoes
- Reliable transportation
Your support helps ensure donated food reaches local families in need while preventing wholesome food from going to waste.
Note: This opportunity is coordinated by Service & Civic Engagement in partnership with Sacred Heart Food Pantry in Frontenac. Volunteers will serve directly with Sacred Heart Food Pantry Staff.
