United Way of Southwest Missouri & Southeast Kansas

Who We Are

More than 130 years ago, a small group came together with a big idea that sparked the first United Way: Communities get more done when we work as one. Since 1926, United Way of Southwest Missouri & Southeast Kansas has carried that vision forward in our local community - creating pathways to better health, education, and financial opportunities for all. Through our own initiatives, funding vital community programs at our agency partners, and administration of the Care Partner Network, we connect thousands of people to resources and opportunities each year: - improving access to quality health insurance, education, and care - supporting youth success from childhood through college and career - opening pathways to financial freedom for individuals and families - connecting people to urgent resources, from social services to disaster relief

What We Do

We convene partners to identify and respond to local needs (collaborative groups, Care Partner Network, stakeholders). We maximize collective impact to close gaps (funding, data). We offer resources and opportunities that make a difference (volunteerism, resource connection). We co-create a brighter future where everyone can succeed.
